BLUE STRIPES LACROSSE

Growing up in Baltimore, Lorne has had a stick in his hands since he could walk. He has continued to play competitively every year since he started at age six. During a particularly successful stretch which included high school, college, and Team USA U-19, Lorne did not lose his last game of the season for five years resulting in six straight championships. During that time he was coached by two of the top minds in the game today — John Tucker (Gilman) and Bill Tierney (Princeton).

Lorne's camp experience started at Camp Deerwood in Holderness New Hampshire on Squam Lake, where his parents helped to run the traditional boys camp. As a camper and counselor, Lorne gained valuable camp experience that has a big influence on LSL today.

Moving to San Francisco in 1999 has offered the opportunity to stay involved with lacrosse on a number of levels including playing professionally, coaching a team at the collegiate level, directing youth camps and clinics, and offering free coaches clinics.

In 2013 he was recognized for his on-field achievements and continued involvement in the game by being inducted into the US Lacrosse Baltimore Chapter Hall of Fame.

Lorne currently lives in Lafayette California with his wife and two daughters. He has worked full time in the lacrosse industry as a coach, camp director, sales professional and business owner since 2003, and is currently the Head Coach of Acalanes High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse and Director of the Blue Stripes Lacrosse Club. In 2018 he started Super Sundays, a seasonal series of no pad tennis ball co-ed super fun hour long clinics for ages 5-12 designed to make it easy for every kid in Lamorinda to try and fall in love with lacrosse, just like he did a long time ago.
